Welcome. Know About Art focuses on the History of Art and the Art Business in general. It consists of database of information on the History of Art and a lively Blog which covers all aspects of buying and selling art. There is also a useful Art Resources page listing many websites, books and other sources of information of interest to the art student, dealer or collector.
Over the years Know About Art should build into a valuable learning resource primarily aimed at people who are new to art history and the art business, but that’s not to say that anyone with an interest in art won’t find something of useful in the site.
There are currently three sections for you peruse:
History of Art where you can learn about the main art movements and leading artist representing these movements over the centuries
Blog of an Art Collector where you can read the ramblings of a ‘wannabe’ art collector and join in the discussions on art.
Useful Art Resources where you can find a list of books, websites and other sources of information on art.
